FORMATS

Session formats that encourage attendee engagement, and adhere to adult learning styles, are given preference in the scheduling.

Formats

ASNT 2024 will offer a number of different presentation styles allowing attendees to choose the format, content, and methods that suit their learning style. Session types include:



  • Campfire Session/Deep Dive:  Campfire sessions feature a large amount of audience participation. Presenters will introduce a topic, and facilitate networking discussion and conclude with a group discussion. These 60 or 90 minute interactive sessions are given by one or two subject matter experts and conversation facilitators. Intended to develop skills through collaboration, proposals for Deep Dives are encouraged to display how the audience participation will be encouraged.

  • The Solution:  Presenter to share with the solution regarding new topics on new technology in the NDT field and new uses for existing technology. 

  • Panels: Panels are comprised of one facilitator and 3-4 panelists discussing a relevant topics.  Panel proposals are encouraged for any topic where a diverse set of opinions would add to the conversation. Topics may include codes and standards, workforce development, and other issues affecting the NDT profession.

  • Technical Presentation:  Technical presentation submissions are encouraged to concentrate on application-based topics, new and unique methods for applying NDT technology, and new technological advances. Applied knowledge is preferred over theoretical presentations. We will be looking at 45-minute presentation times.
