Producing a conference that attracts more than 2,500 people annually requires a large support staff of friendly people, and this is where you can help! ASNT Event Ambassadors provide the assistance necessary for making the ASNT Annual Conference a reality. ASNT Event Ambassadors agree to work six (6) hours, before or during the conference, in exchange for a conference registration.
Registration/General Assistant
Meet and greet arriving attendees at registration with your smiling face. Make a great first impression by welcoming attendees to the Conference and providing them with all the materials they will need throughout the week.
Information Ambassador
These important positions are another opportunity to make a positive impression by being a helpful “smiling face” to the conference attendees. Providing directions, conference information, and other assistance, ASNT Event Ambassadors are an essential component to creating a successful conference experience!
Technical Session Monitor
Session monitors oversee one of the technical session rooms. As ASNT’s “eyes and ears,” you will take attendance, assist attendees with use of the conference app to sign into sessions, ensure attendees have the proper name badges, make note of any speaker changes, assist the Session Chair and presenters as needed, and complete reporting forms for each session.
Short Course Monitor
These 4-hour intensives may focus on a skill, technique, or regulations—specialized information that will be helpful to one's future career. Each short course is 4 hours in length. Short Course Monitors will sign in registrants, distribute the course materials, and assist the instructors with handouts, evaluation forms, and other duties as needed.
Set Up/Tear Down
Help the ASNT staff with unpacking/packing conference supplies, transporting items to designated areas, IT equipment setup/tear down, and other tasks crucial to the success of the conference.
Exhibit Hall Assistant
Exhibit hall assistants will help staff the exhibitor registration area in the exhibit hall to assist exhibit personnel print name badges and assist with any issues they might have.

Who is eligible to serve as an ASNT Event Ambassador?
Anyone with an interest in NDT that wants to take an active role in the conference is eligible to serve as an ASNT Event Ambassador.
What do ASNT Event Ambassadors receive in exchange for their time and efforts?
ASNT Event Ambassadors receive a complimentary full conference registration. Onsite ASNT Event Ambassadors will also be provided with a complimentary t-shirt, which must be worn during hours of ASNT Event Ambassador service at the conference.
Are ASNT Event Ambassadors allowed to select their hours of ASNT Event Ambassador service?
The ASNT Event Ambassador application process requires candidates to select dates/times that best fit their respective schedules. However, the conference team reserves the right to change assignment dates or times.
What is the deadline for submitting an ASNT Event Ambassador application to be an onsite ASNT Event Ambassador?
Onsite ASNT Event Ambassador positions are filled on a first-come, first-assigned basis. Once the positions are full, applicants will be put onto a waitlist.
When will ASNT Event Ambassadors be notified?
ASNT Event Ambassadors will be notified via email of their status after a review of their application. Be sure to verify your correct email address before submitting your application.
What happens if I have an emergency or cannot report or perform my ASNT Event Ambassador duties?
ASNT Event Ambassadors are asked to notify the ASNT Conference Department via email at conferences@asnt.org within 24-hours of ASNT Event Ambassador service assignment if she/he is unable to report for, or perform, his/her assigned duties. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of one's complimentary registration and may also result in being billed for any days of Conference attendance.
