Dr. Urmila Shirwadkar is a Senior Scientist and Business Development Manager at Radiation Monitoring Devices, Inc. Her background is in the field of experimental nuclear physics and gamma-ray spectroscopy. She has been involved in the development of many inorganic and organic scintillation materials for homeland security, medical, space and other scientific applications. She has published her work in numerous refereed journals including PRL and has been awarded multiple US patents collectively. Alongside research, she is currently involved in the sales and business development activities to enable commercialization of radiation detector technologies.
