From The Program Chair:

On behalf of the ASNT Research Symposium program committee, we are honored and delighted to welcome you to the 31st ASNT Research Symposium.  We are very grateful for your continued support and participation in this symposium.

ASNT Research Symposium is one of the finest events for exchanging groundbreaking, trending, and interesting research in the field of NDE. During the symposium, you will have numerous opportunities to explore, discuss, and share your experiences on cutting-edge NDE technologies from research level to real-world application and to increase your knowledge base. The theme for 2023 Research Symposium is “Exploring the Future of NDT.” This year’s theme aims to address key research and innovation in NDE technologies, with an increased emphasis towards diverse, emerging NDE techniques, international collaboration, and student participation.

31st ASNT Research Symposium is rich and includes 90 technical presentations organized into 26 sessions, featuring a day of tutorials, 2 keynote speeches, 1 award lecture, 3 plenary talks, 3 panel discussions and a poster session in the span of 4 and a half days. The tutorials will be informative, and interactive, presentations intended to focus on fundamental issues within NDE.

As a conference chair, we are aware that the success of the conference truly depends on the teamwork and countless hours from volunteers who have worked with us during the planning and organization of both technical programs and supporting other activities that take place during the symposium. The proceedings of ASNT Research Symposium have been peer-reviewed and will be published as open-access research content with assigned DOI numbers (housed in the ASNT Digital Library).

We look forward to meeting you and your colleagues in person at Columbus, OH. Finally, we wish you all enjoy 31st ASNT Research Symposium and your stay in Columbus!
