Biography

Ali Zare Hosseinzadeh is a PhD student in the Department of Structural Engineering at University of California San Diego (UCSD), and since 2019 he has been part of the Experimental Mechanics, NDE & SHM Laboratory. Ali received a Master's Degree in Structural Engineering with a Specialization in Health Monitoring & Non-Destructive Evaluation from UCSD in 2020 and prior to joining UCSD, he completed a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering–Earthquake Engineering. His research interests are non-destructive evaluation and structural health monitoring, ultrasonic testing and imaging, smart sensing, digital signal processing, and machine learning.

Subal Sharma is a PhD student at Michigan State University working on developing machine learning methods for ultrasonic non-destructive testing. His research interest involves machine learning integration with ultrasonic NDE on large datasets for metals, composites, and 3D printed samples.

Biography

Zeb is a PhD student at Michigan State University, pursuing a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, with a focus on ultrasonic NDE methods. His interests are in ultrasonic testing, electromagnetic acoustic transducers, ultrasonic digital twins, and practical methods of promoting NDE frameworks within industry. Post graduation he hopes to continue his research efforts in a research and development position with potential for applied engineering applications in the manufacturing or aerospace industries.
