Collaborating to Close Critical NDT Workforce Gaps
Presentation Description
The intent of this technical presentation is to discuss EPRI's ongoing effort (project) to communicate the drivers for gaps in the NDT workforce discovered through recent (2024 published EPRI Report), covered initiatives and actions developed in said report and then cover the current state of key actions underway. One of which actions, is a benchmark effort to identify industry best practices for closing said critical workforce gaps. This benchmark is a collaborative effort, by the Nuclear Energy operators including participation by ASNT. The presentation would also cover on-going research projects to enhance the training and development of prospective NDT personnel through use of technology as well as cover additional collaboration opportunities to enhance and optimization qualification/certification of personnel.
