How ASNT-ATO Accreditation Benefits Manufacturing, Fabrication and In-Service Industries

Presentation Description

The American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) plays a world-wide pivotal role in promoting excellence in nondestructive testing (NDT) for various industries. These industries, include energy producing, (nuclear, oil / gas, and renewables), energy consuming, (chemical / petrochemical), transportation (automotive, aviation, aerospace), manufacturing (from raw materials to finished components), as well as the infrastructure industries (building / construction of dams, bridges, buildings, railways, pipelines).
NDT technology is crucially integrated when maintaining the integrity, quality and safety in the manufacturing, fabrication and in-service industries.
ASNT's NDT personnel qualification and certification documents; ASNT Recommended Practice-SNT-TC-1A, ANSI/ASNT CP-189, ANSI/ASNT CP-9712, are integrated in these industries through professional societies such as, the American Welding Society (AWS), the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM), and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
The codes and standards developed by these organizations incorporate by reference or cite ASNT NDT personnel qualification / certification documents.
The presentation will include:
• How the ATO process ensures high-quality training standards
• How ATO accreditation Increases NDT training Industry competitiveness
• How ATO accreditation promotes Code and Standard Compliance
• How ATO accreditation requires training organizations to address latest technological developments
• How an ATO provides an avenue for NDT professional development
