Throughout my experience as a Level III technician, training personnel, and auditing various companies, I have observed a recurring issue: the widespread underutilization of Phased Array technology. Many companies fail to adjust the number of active elements appropriately, which is crucial for maximizing or enhancing wave resolution during equipment configuration. As a result, the technology has largely been reduced to configurations of only 16 elements, severely limiting the true potential and development of Phased Array.
This presentation addresses and clarifies this technical gap through comparative analysis, complemented by a series of simple Excel-based formulas. These tools are designed to improve calculation accuracy, starting from the principles of conventional ultrasound. This approach not only provides practical solutions but also highlights the overlooked possibilities of the technology
