Pulsed Eddy Current applications and challenges in oil and gas
Presentation Description
The presentation provides an overview of pulse eddy current (PEC) inspection, a non-destructive testing technique widely used in various industries. It explores the principles of PEC and its applications in aerospace, automotive, oil and gas, and manufacturing sectors. The advantages and limitations of PEC compared to other testing methods are discussed, highlighting its ability to detect surface and subsurface defects, characterize material properties, and monitor corrosion in conductive materials.
Challenges associated with PEC, such as signal interpretation and calibration requirements, are addressed, along with ongoing research efforts aimed at overcoming these obstacles. The presentation concludes by emphasizing the importance of PEC in materials inspection and quality assurance, and its potential for further advancements in the field of non-destructive testing.
