Details
Inter-laboratory proficiency testing of NDT labs, according to ISO 17043, is used as an effective tool to monitor and demonstrate the proficiency of NDT labs in the industry to the customer externally. It may, however, also help these labs internally by improving their existing NDT process. This presentation aims to show how inter-laboratory proficiency testing may become an effective internal tool to assess NDT process execution in the company. The proficiency testing allows for effective implementation of the continuous improvement principle by better understanding of the whole NDT process, getting self-reflection and feedback on current process execution, monitoring the internal efficiency, and improving the NDT lab assessment of the process through continuous, incremental steps.

Deputy director of the ATG Ltd. company, NDT equipment and customized systems supplier and one of the biggest qualification centers of NDT staff in Central Europe. Specialist for personnel qualification process acc. to EN 4179 / NAS 410, ISO 9712, SNT-TC-1A and ANDE-1 qulification standards. Member of European Aerospae National NDT Boards Federation, ASME Codes and Standards committee and others.
