AI: Heros and Hallucinations
Presentation Description
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become an integral part of our daily lives, from virtual assistants to self-driving cars to providing insights into NDT data and images. However, there is ongoing debate about whether AI is a hero that will revolutionize industries and improve our ability to deliver quality inspections, or a hallucination that will lead to job displacement, improper inspection assessments and ethical dilemmas. This discussion will explore the potential benefits and risks of AI and discuss how we can harness its power while mitigating its negative impacts. By examining some industry deployed examples and current research, we will dive into the complex nature of AI, and provide insights into how we can navigate the future of this rapidly evolving technology.
