This presentation will discuss and display UT, MT, IR, GPR, and load test methods used to evaluate buildings and bridges. These NDT methods are used to measure strength, find flaws, and evaluate integrity of structural steel welds, high-strength bolts, reinforced concrete structures, and masonry walls. Many colorful photos will be shown on this fast-paced Powerpoint presentation. The presenter completed these studies so personnel experience is relayed to the audience.

Biography

Steven Fults, PE is a structural engineer holding ASNT Level III, ICC, API, CWB, & AWS certifications. He has 40 years experience inspecting and evaluating buildings, warehouses, cranes, rigging, and bridges. Mr. Fults has performed over 10,000 inspections of structural steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry structures using VT, MT, UT, IR, GPR, and/or load test methods. Mr. Fults is Co-owner of Special Inspections & Design employing structural engineers, certified welding inspectors and NDT Technicians.
