Exploring Quantifiable Metrics and Interpretive Strategies in CT for NDT
Presentation Description
Determining detail detectability and performance of a computed tomography system are crucial steps in the use of CT technology for non-destructive analysis. The characteristics of quantifiable and interpretable measures must be considered while determining system performance for a given application. In this proposal, the use of a high-volume CT system and the creation of a representative quality indicator (RQI) allows for a real-world demonstration of system performance measures and the considerations that should be taken while quantifiable and interpretable data are used to qualify an inspection technique. In conclusion, this study provides valuable data and considerations regarding the use and implementation of RQI’s and other system performance metrics to the NDT user community.
