Digital transformation is disrupting and re-shaping innumerable human activities, including both manufacturing and non-destructive examination (NDE) processes. but the speed of transformation may be unbalanced between then generating risks and value.
Industry 4.0 is compelling to revise the roles NDE practitioners, trainers and mentors which are immersed not only in the dynamics of exponentially accelerated technological advancements but also in profound social, environmental and cultural transformations.
The uncertainty feeling derived from change, either disruptive or gradual, is a reality that individuals, organizations, complete industries, governments, and societies cope with and is at the core of their strategic decisions. Uncertainty has a profound impact on the present performance and future evolution of and organizations and individuals, if not handled properly, not only generates anxiety and pessimism but also impairs growth, improvement and innovation.
Guiding organizations, and individuals, not only to cope with change but to use it to their advantage and in conse-quence contributing to minimize uncertainty has become an important part of our professional activities within their processes and through time we have been able to create and perfect a conjunction of practical guidelines, that we will share in this fact-paced presentation that in our experience have proven to be successfully effective to guide profes-sionally transitioning individuals in their change efforts

Biography

civil engineer with a major in structural design. He has a dual degree MBA with a specialization in strategic business management from Regis University and technology and innovation management and research processes by ITESO. He is a certified ASNT NDT Level III in RT, UT, MT, PT, VT, and LT. Since 1986, he has coordinated projects and programs focused on quality improvement, automation, AI systems deployment and innovation for projects located in three continents and 15 countries. Ramon’s company, Fercon Group, provides highly specialized engineering consulting and strategic mentoring to organizations ranging from single-person practices to 180,000-employee multinationals.
